Slow Money seeks a Social Media Manager/ Special Assistant to the Chairman

27 Jan

Location: Brookline, MA

Slow Money is a newly formed NGO dedicated to catalyzing the flow of capital to small food enterprises and building the nurture capital industry.  Slow Money, which has been called by many a “movement” and by some a “revolution,” is leading a national campaign to garner one million signatures for the Slow Money Principles and to grow the Slow Money Alliance into a major, national grassroots organization.

We are looking for a smart, innovative, energetic and tech-savvy communicator to join our team as Social Media Manager and Special Assistant to the President.

Must be knowledgeable and passionate about the environment, health, sustainability, our food system and organics. Will be working with the digital ecosystem of blogging, social networking and online communities.  Will be a key team member in developing and implementing social media strategies and assessing the effectiveness of our communications.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to master complex issues and convey information clearly with attention to audience, tone and nuance;

A self-starter who plays well with others and enjoys the dynamic environment of a small, highly entrepreneurial organization;

A critical thinker with strong nuts-and-bolts social media experience who dwells comfortably and passionately in the world of social media;
