Farm to Table Food Blog Coordinator (unpaid internship, non-location specific) – STARTS IMMEDIATELY
FRESH is looking for TWO interns to coordinate food bloggers to cover FRESH’s Farm to Table Dinners in cities all across the U.S. (from April through June). This position starts immediately and lasts for at least 3 months, possibly longer.
FRESH celebrates the farmers, thinkers and business people across America who are re-inventing our food system. Each has witnessed the rapid transformation of our agriculture into an industrial model, and confronted the consequences: food contamination, environmental pollution, depletion of natural resources, and morbid obesity. Forging healthier, sustainable alternatives, they offer a practical vision for a future of our food and our planet.
Intern should be interested in and knowledgeable of their local restaurant landscape, particularly those restaurants that use locally-sourced and sustainably-produced ingredients. The Intern should also be enthusiastic about reading food blogs and reaching out to writers/photographers/tweeters about the opportunity to attend FRESH dinner events. An ideal candidate is extremely well-organized, time-line oriented, has good communication and research skills, is enthusiastic, and loves food.
Benefits: Event planning and coordinating skills, opportunity to develop relationships with established food bloggers across the country, and the chance to work with a growing, grassroots-based documentary film team.
To Apply: Send a PDF version of your resume, along with a statement of interest and examples of previous work to Nicole Potenec at nicolepotenec@yahoo.com.
