Position Summary:
Take the lead on development and planning for the Kentland Farm Organic Garden (includes budgeting, inventory, supply purchasing, and greenhouse/cold frame planning/construction, schedules/propagation, bed preparation and soil development, equipment use and storage, daily operations, harvest planning and implementation, etc.) and support undergraduate experiential teaching in civic agriculture and food systems.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required in Horticulture or related field, or equivalent related work experience; farming experience; strong communication skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others; experience in advising/teaching; demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage detailed, complex tasks with good results; and proven experience in farm evaluation and assessment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference will be given to applicants with experience with sustainable agriculture; graduate degree in Horticulture or related field.
