The Farm-to-Consumer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization created to expand public awareness about sustainably farmed food, increase choices and access to local sources and support small family farms growing and raising these foods. We do this through educational and charitable activities by educating consumers on how to obtain farm food directly from farmers; educating farmers on how to be free from harassment by local, state, and federal government interference with food production and on-farm processing; educating the general public about the importance of sustainable farming, healthy foods, and our rights to farm and obtain such foods; providing support to qualified farmer and consumer group recipients through financial aid.

Our Foundation is growing and we are seeking a part time (10-15 hours per week) Administrative Assistant to assist our president and board members with their administrative needs. The Phinney Neighborhood Association (PNA) is seeking a motivated AmeriCorps member for a unique 
sustainability project. This position is a time-limited stipended position, beginning in Sept, 2010 and ending in 
July, 2011. 

The mission of the PNA is to build community by providing and promoting programs, services and activities 
aimed at connecting neighbors and fostering civic involvement in our diverse community. Our work is 
focused in northwest Seattle, primarily in the neighborhoods of Phinney and Greenwood. 

City Fruit is a PNA partner organization whose mission is to help residential tree owners grow healthy fruit, 
harvest and use what they can, and share what they don’t need. City Fruit matches fruit tree owners with 
volunteer harvesters, donating thousands of pounds of fresh, locally grown fruit to hungry people every year. 
In an effort to become sustainable, City Fruit has begun offering fruit tree care and canning classes,
