PCC Farmland Trust secures, preserves and stewards threatened farmland in the Northwest, ensuring that generations of local farmers productively farm using sustainable, organic growing methods. The Trust is a community-supported 501(c) 3 non-profit founded in 1999 by Seattle-based PCC Natural Markets (the nation’s largest natural retail foods cooperative) and is operated independently with separate offices, staff, Board and administrative functions.
Overview:
We are seeking a self-motivated, highly organized, Development and Administrative Assistant. This position is 40 hours per week to assist with: fund development, donations processing, land trust accreditation application activities and administrative support for the volunteer board of directors and associated committees. The Farmland Trust has seven staff members including this position; this position would assist all staff. (www.pccfarmlandtrust.org)
Essential Responsibilities:
? Receive, process and acknowledge all donations, grants and corporate gifts.
? Administer Salesforce database: create reports and mailing lists; complete data entry.
? Oversee workplan for completion of accreditation application. Maintain policy and practices records for the ongoing development of accreditation application.
? Board administration including: assembling board packets, drafting meeting minutes and maintaining board records.
? Assist with preparation and implementation of special events including public farm tours, information tables at farmers markets and donor events.
? General administrative support: mailing, filing, faxing, copying, assembling, etc.
? Assist with Annual Report and annual audit.
? Provide general information to the public.
? Open and route mail; log and copy checks for bookkeeper.
? Provide consistently excellent customer service to donors and volunteers.
? Other fund development and office support duties, as needed.
Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school or GED required.
? Office administrative experience required. Nonprofit administrative or development experience preferred.
? Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required and proficiency in Salesforce.com preferred.
? Excellent writer and communicator.
? Able to work standard business hours and on scheduled occasions non-standard hours, including evenings and weekends.
? Valid, insurable drivers license/record.
? Demonstrated interest in sustainable agriculture preferred.
Salary is commensurate with experience. Medical and dental insurance provided.
