Position Title: Entry Level Intern for Culinary Center & Fruit & Vegetable Section

Hours: 25-35 Hours/Week, Part Time Flexible/Nights/Weekends
Rate of Pay: $10 per hour
Ger-Nis International, LLC is a Brooklyn based importer specializing in Organic & FairTrade fruit and vegetables as well as fresh herbs and is seeking an assistant to the owner and managing director of the company. We are a company that believes fully in the way of organics, fair & sustainable produce trading as well as educating consumers in regards to the food they eat. Additionally, we are the home of Ger-Nis Culinary & Herb Center. The culinary center offers a wide variety of both adult and children hands on and education culinary classes. This position requires a person that can act as a “jack of all trades”—Responsibilities will include writing and editing, class preparation, recipe writing and testing, cooking, baking, food preparation, event management, marketing, editing and posting blogs, helping with organization, scheduling, and other small tasks and errands.
Skills ideally include experience and proficiency with:
Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Have extremely good organizational skills
Like Food, Dogs and Kids
Have a thick skin
Be a quick learner and analytical thinker
Have a sense of humor
