North Carolina: Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project seeks Programming Intern

8-16 hours weekly
The nonprofit organization, Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project (ASAP), announces an opening for our Programming Internship.The programming intern will assist ASAP with community events and outreach projects.  The first two months of this internship will be focused on the Marketing Opportunities for Farmers conference, held on the campus of Warren Wilson College on Saturday, February 26.  After February, the intern will provide support to our other ASAP programs including the Family Farm Tour and the Local Food Guide.

In this position, interns will learn the about the day-to day activities of working in a nonprofit organization, and they will learn more about WNC’s local food system.  For more information on the  Marketing Opportunities for Farmers Conference, the Family Farm Tour, and the Local Food Guide, visit  We ask that applicants have a valid driver’s license and transportation.

Qualifications Required:
•   Detail oriented and organized
•   Excellent written and oral communication skills
•   Proficient in Microsoft Office
•   Interest & dedication to promoting Local Food
•   Reliable & able to commit to full internship period
