This position will provide the coordination and support for the U of M Regional Partnerships’ local foods efforts, with a focus on the Southeast Foodshed Planning Initiative. The person in this position will work to leverage and catalyze related work within the University of Minnesota and its mission as a land-grant institution. The position will also provide the lead staffing for two USDA-funded local foods projects, namely Building Capacity for Local Foods Infrastructure Development and identifying the local and regional foods networks and strategies used in Minnesota. The ultimate aim of this position is to generate positive, substantive impact on the development of sustainable food systems and agricultural economies in the region.
