2011 WFAN Program Coordinator
Exciting opportunity to work with inspiring women passionate about sustainable food systems and agriculture! Growing organization, flexible work environment, lots of job variety. Women, Food and Agriculture Network, a 13-year-old national not-for-profit organization based in central Iowa and serving women involved in sustainable agriculture, is seeking a half-time program coordinator. The right candidate will be an excellent written and oral communicator, well-organized and able to handle multiple tasks at once, and available for some regional travel.
We are looking for an employee who is self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, has some knowledge of agriculture and food systems, works well in teams but with limited supervision, and is comfortable with a variety of technologies. College degree in a relevant field required; experience in grant-writing and administration, fund-raising, and organizational management a big plus. This is a one-year appointment through 2011, with the possibility of extension pending additional funding.
Flexible hours, office in Story City but possibility of working mostly from home office. Salary $15,000; one week paid time off; expenses will be reimbursed. Must possess a valid driver’s license and pass a criminal background check.
