The New England Farmers Union (NEFU) is accepting applications for the position of Membership/Communications Coordinator. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing membership recruitment and retention efforts, developing and executing communications campaigns, and planning and coordinating events. NEFU is a rapidly growing nonprofit organization working to support and strengthen New England agriculture by advocating for federal policies that support our farms, fisheries and environment.
This is a 30-hour per week position, with an hourly wage of $18-23, depending upon qualifications and ability. Start date is immediate. NEFU is based in Shelburne Falls, with staff working primarily from home.
Ideal applicants will have a demonstrated ability to achieve annual goals and create effective systems to manage multiple projects and knowledge of customer service approaches to membership, sponsorship and donor management. Bachelor’s degree required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Knowledge of New England region and experience in the field of agriculture preferred. Position open until filled.
