Summer Internships in Environmental Education
This internship will give you the opportunity to gain hands-on educational experience on a working farm. You will work with children ages 5-15 at our farm based summer camp where you will lead small groups in fun and creative activities that help them learn about and celebrate the cycles of nature that produce their food. You will also get to work with parents and their toddler aged children during our Growing Together program, assist with educational birthday parties, lead educational farm tours for visiting children/families and help at our outdoor, cob-oven Pizza & Movie Nights on the farm. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting with the set-up/clean-up of all programs and other tasks related to education programs.

Educational activities include: planting, harvesting, cooking, creating a farmer’s market, composting and soils, farm arts and crafts, farm history, caring for farm animals, nature trail hikes, cooperative games, music and storytelling. A strong curriculum has been developed over the years but there are also opportunities to develop new activities based on your own interests and skills.

Interns will be expected to work 35-40 hours per week. The hours of these positions are Monday-Thursday 8am-3:30pm with some hours on Fridays, evenings and/or weekends.
