California: The Chez Panisse Foundation seeks Office & Affiliate Program Intern

The Chez Panisse Foundation (CPF) is offering an unpaid internship to students or recent graduates wishing to gain experience in a stimulating and fast-paced work environment. The intern will support the Affiliate Program Director and Operations Manager for CPF, assisting with a variety of activities related to our Edible Schoolyard program and the internal functions of a non-profit office. Responsibilities include day-to-day tasks and short-term projects.

Primary Responsibilities
Research garden education programs nationally
Help maintain contact database
Monitor CPF publications store and manage shipments
Draft and/or proofread various written materials such as letters, e-mails and program summaries
Field information requests and assist in interfacing with supporters and the public
Assist in coordinating logistics and producing collateral for events and special projects
Conduct short research assignments

Requirements
Excellent written and oral communication skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent general knowledge of the sustainable food movement
Creative and flexible
Work well independently and collaboratively

Duration & Compensation
Unpaid internship, Chez Panisse lunch provided
4 months, 4 days per week ( 25 hours)
