Mary’s Restaurant at the Inn at Baldwin Creek in Bristol, VT is seeking a garden intern for the 2011 growing season. We operate a 5 bedroom Bed and Breakfast as well as a restaurant which specializes in sourcing local and fresh ingredients. We are able to grow over 75% of produce used in the restaurant on site in our garden and 5 greenhouses. Intern will work directly with garden manager working in all aspects of garden operation throughout the season. Tasks including bed prep, roto-tilling, seeding, harvesting, weeding, watering, record keeping, washing produce, implementing season extension techniques, etc. This is a great opportunity for someone to be involved with a Vermont Fresh Network member ‘field to fork’ restaurant that prides itself in preparing high quality locally sourced food. Stipend amount is negotiable and an opportunity for housing may be available.
