The Washington State Farmers Market Association (WSFMA) has an immediate opening for an administrative assistant. This part-time position starts at 20 hours/week for approximately three months and then would drop to approximately 15 hours/week. Primary responsibilities include completing the annual membership renewal process, coordinating the annual membership brochure, responding to email and telephone inquiries from members and general administrative work. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter with excellent written and oral communication skills, thorough understanding of farmers market operations, strong attention to detail and likes office procedures. Experience managing farmers markets is highly desired. There is no formal office at this point so the successful candidate must be able to work independently, and have access to office space and basic office equipment (computer, printer and phone). The position reports to the Interim Executive Director.
Starting wage is $16/hour with an increase after successfully completing a three month probation.
