About Greener PartnersGreener Partners (www.greenerpartners.org) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building community through sustainable farming projects and farm-based education.  It is our mission to inspire individuals and communities to support and eat locally grown, seasonal food.Greener Partners operates several community-farms that serve as resources for local food and food-based education. Our educational programs for youth include Seed to Snack, The S.O.L. Food Project and farm camps.  We also offer workshops and activities for adults and families that educate about the “lost arts” from our agricultural and cultural past.

Position Description

Provide outstanding customer service at all times while working in a fast-paced locally-focused farm market.  Market located on certified organic farm. 

Responsibilities

  • Operate all register systems in order to properly and efficiently process customer payments
  • Reconcile daily cash received to cash receipts
  • Insure safekeeping of all cash, checks and report any variations or discrepancies to supervisor immediately
  • Ensuring and maintaining highest quality of produce through meticulous attention to detail
  • Stock produce, products, café items, and supplies as needed
  • Maintain store cleanliness and orderly appearance
  • Maintain knowledge of store products and vendor information
  • Greet and promptly accommodate all members and visitors in a professional manner and direct them accordingly
  • Promote mission of Greener Partners Community Farm
  • Awareness of all on farm events by reading monthly newsletter
  • Attend and participate in mandatory monthly market staff meetings
  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety rules, policies, and procedures  as established by Greener Partners
  • Effective communication with supervisors, coworkers and customers
  • Follow side-work lists and perform other duties as assigned

Schedule

Part-time, Full-time, day, evening, and weekend shifts available. Market opens June 4th

Compensation

$8.00+ / hourly starting rate
