Telecommute: FRESH the Movie seeks Blogger

15 Jun

FRESH – a documentary film about sustainable agriculture – is looking for a blogger! We are on the search for someone to help us get the word out about fresh, innovative, hopeful, tasty, policy-pushing, controversial, and catalyst-creating issues within the sustainable food movement. Our blogger can work from home, anywhere in the world, but he/she must be able to touch base with us each day via email or Skype.

The FRESH blogger will author their own weekly posts, as well as re-post and organize blog series which fall in with our current initiatives. We are looking for a driven writer who wants to advance their writing repertoire and connections within the food movement. You must be first and foremost a writer, but also a self-starter and familiar with the technical details of WordPress and blogging in general (i.e. basic HTML skills).

We are looking for a three-month commitment, during which time there will be a two-week trial period. This is your opportunity to be the voice of the FRESH movement. With our list of 70,000 supporters and nearly 20,000 Facebook Fans, it’s your time to shine!

FRESH is distributed in a unique way, working through grassroots networks, strong food-focused non-profits, and communities dedicated to sustainable agriculture, rather than simply putting the film into theaters for passive consumption. Although FRESH is only run by two people, our supporters have organized 4,000 screenings over the past two years.

Please check out our blog and website to become familiar with our work.

This internship is unpaid.

Please apply if and only if you can commit to writing at least two posts per week, are proficient in HTML, and have previously written about food, farming, or food policies.

Please send 3 writing samples of 750 words or less each, a letter of interest, resume, and an example of your HTML work (a link to your wordpress blog, for example) to
