Snow’s Bend Farm is a locally owned, modern, efficient farm and we will fully train all employees and ensure that they are comfortable with their responsibilities. The work is challenging, but fulfilling and the customers are very friendly and easy to get along with.
JOB TITLE
Farm Worker
SUMMARY
Farm workers help with all of the tasks associated with crop production as well as some distribution.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, bend at the knees and back, and walk throughout the day
- Be able to work on your feet outdoors up to 8 hours
- Accurately follow directions
- Maintain a steady work pace
DUTIES
- Help with greenhouse planting and maintenance
- Help with planting, irrigating, cultivating, and harvesting crops
- Help with washing, sorting, weighing, and packing produce
- Help with feeding and watering pigs
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor
WORK RELATIONSHIPS
Supervised by farm owners. Works closely with farm owners and other farm workers.
HOURS
Monday – Friday 7 a.m. to noon, more hours available if desired
COMPENSATION
Farm workers start at $8/hour for a 30 day training period. After the 30 day training period qualified farm workers pay may increase.
